Molly

My father suffered a fall and needed help.

He lived alone. His phone was sitting on the kitchen counter, and his emergency pendant was on the nightstand.

The only one there with him was his rescue Golden Retriever, Molly.

Like any loyal dog, Molly never left his side. She stayed with him and comforted him, but there wasn’t much more she could do.

Fortunately, everything turned out okay for my father.

But I couldn’t stop thinking about Molly.

How could Molly help if this ever happened again?

That’s when I realized something.

Unlike a phone that can be left in another room, or an emergency pendant that isn’t always being worn, Molly was always right there beside him, just as she was every day.

I wondered if there were a simple way to use Molly’s collar to give my father another way to reach me whenever he needed help.

That idea became TextTag.

TextTag gives people another way to ask for help while allowing them to hold onto the independence they value.

At the same time, it gives family and friends a little more peace of mind, knowing there is another way for someone they love to let them know when help is needed.
